LANEIGE and Matin Kim Turn a Lip Tint Into a Necklace With the New JuicePop Box

LANEIGE just turned a lip tint into a necklace. The brand teamed up with Seoul fashion label Matin Kim on the JuicePop Box Lip Tint, a 4.5 gram tint in a new shade called Mono Tune that ships with a chain, a mirror and a case built to be worn out the door, not buried in a bag. The set rolled out globally on September 1 and landed in Korea on October 1, and it's sitting on Sephora's site right now for $28.

Mono Tune is the shade doing the talking. It goes on as a sheer black tint, then shifts as it reacts to each wearer's natural lip pH, so the same product settles into a different color on different people. Sephora describes the result as landing somewhere in plum. It's the same pH-reactive trick that made the original JuicePop Box line a hit, just repackaged for a design-forward crowd that wants their makeup to double as an accessory.

What's Actually in the Box

The headline piece is the chain itself. It's built specifically to hold the JuicePop case, so you can clip the tint onto a bag, a belt loop or your own neck and touch up without digging through a purse. The set rounds that out with a small mirror and a case, turning what's usually a tiny tube you lose at the bottom of your bag into something closer to jewelry.

On formula, retailer listings point to LANEIGE's Water-Oil Remix Technology along with ceramides, with claims of a soft, non-drying feel and up to 12 hours of wear. Pricing shifts a bit by market and bundle: Sephora's US set runs $28, while Space NK's UK listing has the tint alone at a 24 pound preorder price, separate from the chain-and-case version.

Why a Skincare Brand Is Working With a Fashion Label

The JuicePop Box isn't LANEIGE's only release tied to the Matin Kim partnership. The wider collection includes the brand's Water Bank Cream Moisturizer, Cream Skin Mist and Neo Powder, all repackaged under the same campaign. There's also a limited-edition bundle built around a duffle bag that pairs those three products together, and a makeup pouch is being offered as a gift with purchase while supplies last.

The pitch behind all of it is simple: LANEIGE is treating its skincare and makeup like something you style yourself with every day, not just something you apply and forget. Pairing with a fashion label rather than another beauty brand is what makes the chain and duffle bag make sense as marketing rather than gimmick. It also means the line reads less like a typical seasonal lip tint drop and more like a crossover product launch, aimed at people who follow Matin Kim's clothing as closely as they follow LANEIGE's skincare.

In Malaysia, the collection is stocked at select LANEIGE boutiques in Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid and The Exchange TRX, plus on Shopee Malaysia, while stock lasts. Availability elsewhere is split across each market's own retailers, which is typical for a LANEIGE limited release and part of why pieces like this tend to sell out fast once word gets around.

If you've been eyeing the original JuicePop Box tints already, Mono Tune is worth a look mainly for the accessory factor rather than a totally new formula. The pH-shifting tint itself works the same way the line always has. What's new is the idea that the case holding it is meant to be seen, not hidden, which fits neatly into how a lot of K-beauty packaging has been trending toward display-worthy design over purely functional packaging.

For now, the easiest way to get it in the US is through Sephora's online listing, where it's sold as the full chain, mirror and case set rather than piecemeal. Stock on limited collaborations like this tends to move quickly, so if the styling of it appeals to you, it's worth checking sooner rather than later.
