What we collect

• Code submissions: the retailer, code, discount and an optional short note. We don't ask for your name or email to post a code, and links or email addresses typed into a note are stripped before it's shown.
• Creator directory submissions: using "Add your profile" on the creators page stores the platform, handle, display name, niches, profile link and any follower count or bio you type in. A picture or card header you upload is stored the same way as any other file we host, and its link is shown on your card. Like a code submission, your IP is hashed the same one-way way to slow down spam and isn't kept in a form that can be traced back to you. If we reject a submission, or a listed profile is taken down (including at your own request), we delete any images it had along with the row.
• Votes and rate limiting: to stop one visitor voting on the same code twice or spamming submissions, we take your IP address and browser info and turn them into a one-way, salted hash. That hash isn't reversible back into your IP, and we don't keep a table linking hashes to people. Your browser also remembers your own votes locally (in localStorage) so a page refresh doesn't let you vote again. That stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
• How you found us: if you arrive from a link with campaign tags in the URL, or from another website, your browser holds those details for the session. They are only ever sent to us if you then use the contact form, where they are added to that email so we know where the message came from. If you never contact us they are discarded when you close the tab.
• Standard hosting logs: our hosting (Vercel) and database (Supabase) providers keep the ordinary request logs any web host keeps, on their own retention schedules.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set any cookies for visitors browsing or posting codes. We do use your browser's own storage for three small things, none of which is sent to us on its own: your light or dark theme choice, the votes you have cast (so a refresh doesn't let you vote twice), and, for the current session only, how you got here if you arrived from a tagged or external link.

Who we share data with

We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the database, Vercel Blob to store pictures uploaded to the creator directory, and Resend to email a moderator when a new code or creator profile is submitted or the contact form is used (the message and the source details above are emailed to us, not stored). We may use Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-less and doesn't track individuals. If we ever add advertising (e.g. Google AdSense), that network may set its own cookies for ad personalisation. We'll update this page first if that changes. As of this writing, no ads run on this site.

Want a code submission or vote removed? Want a listed creator profile taken down? Use "Request removal" on that profile's card, or contact us for anything else.

Codes are provided as-is

Codes are submitted by visitors and reviewed before they go live, but we can't guarantee any code works, is still valid or gives the discount described. Always confirm the discount in your order summary before paying, and check the retailer's own current terms. We're not responsible for a retailer declining a code, changing their programme or any loss from relying on one.

Using this site fairly

Post codes you actually own or have genuinely seen work. Don't submit someone else's private code without their permission, don't flood the board with duplicates or spam, and don't try to abuse the voting or rate-limiting system. We can remove any submission or block abusive use at our discretion.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. Continuing to use KBeauty Codes after an update means you accept the current version.
